I mowed the yard today. Well, actually, it was with a weedeater, but the effect is the same. I am writing this note to remember for next year that this is too late by about two weeks. The last rain was about two weeks ago, and that was when the velcro ball weeds (hedge parsley, aka sock destroyer) were still tender and pre-flowering. This year, the mowing is just spreading the seeds, so next year will be a real doozy.

There is apparently a chance of rain tomorrow morning. Highly unusual that we should get rain so far into May.
